Domaine Michel Chapoutier boasts vineyards on some of the most beautiful terroirs in the Rhône Valley. And now, thanks to its properties in the New World and throughout the French vineyards, it boasts many more. The 350 hectares of vines have been cultivated entirely biodynamically since 1999.

2007 is a wonderful vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, more successful than the wines of the northern Rhône Valley.

This 100% Grenache Barbe Rac cuvée comes from vines over 90 years old, grown biodynamically. Since Grenache is particularly sensitive to oxidation, this wine is vinified and aged in closed concrete vats. The result is a wine with notes of sweet spices, chocolate, and aromatic herbs. The palate is fleshy, ample, and very dense. You can easily store this bottle for over 50 years. A truly great Châteauneuf!
