About the estate: Founded in 1965 by Pierre Duband, the estate initially cultivated its vines by selling the grapes to the merchants. In 1991, David Duband took over the vineyard of only 1.5 hectares and began its expansion. Little by little, the estate expanded, adding magnificent terroirs to its vineyard. In 2006, he took over the vines of the famous Truchot estate, comprising 7 hectares, including the grand crus of Clos de la Roche and Charmes Chambertin, among others.
About the cuvée : This 1er cru les Gruenchers comes from a plot of old vines over 40 years old with a south-east exposure. After a manual harvest and careful sorting, the bunches are vinified 80% as whole grapes (with the stalks to provide structure and a diversification of tannins). The wine is aged for 14 months in barrels (40% new barrels, 60% barrels between 1 and 3 years old). Bottling is done without filtration or fining.
