History of the House
Château Climens, nicknamed the "Lord of Barsac", is a Premier Cru Classé from 1855 located in the Barsac appellation, in the heart of Sauternes. With a 30-hectare vineyard cultivated with a single grape variety (Sémillon), Climens is famous for its sweet wines of remarkable purity. The terroir, composed of clay-limestone soils, gives the wines an incomparable minerality and freshness. For centuries, Climens has established itself as one of the greatest names in sweet wines, offering sublime and timeless vintages.
