Château Marquis de Terme is located in the heart of the Margaux appellation, on the left bank of the Médoc. Classified as a Fourth Growth in the 1855 classification, the estate has been managed since 2009 by Ludovic David, with a modern approach while respecting tradition. The vineyard covers approximately 40 hectares on deep gravel typical of Margaux. The estate's philosophy aims for elegance, finesse, and balance, the key characteristics of Margaux wines.

• Appellation: Margaux, renowned for its fine, elegant and fragrant wines.
• Area: approximately 1,500 ha, deep gravel soils resting on sand and clay.
• Blend: mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot.
• Aging: 16 to 18 months in oak barrels, approximately 40% of which are new.
• Characteristics: a wine with a classic Médoc profile, structured, straight and elegant, with tannins that have melted after several decades.
  

Presentation of the 1986 vintage

The 1986 vintage is a classic Médoc vintage, characterized by excellent tannic structure and great aging potential. The Cabernet Sauvignons were superb that year. The best wines of 1986 are still in great shape today, with a straightforward structure, beautiful tertiary aromas, and remarkable aeration.
