Clos d'Audignac 2003 Monopole - Volnay 1er cru - La Pousse D'Or

This Volnay Premier Cru monopole, located southwest of the village, is produced from magnificent vines cultivated without pesticides or insecticides, and the only input, fertilizer, is of natural origin. The land is worked, without herbicides, to maintain soil aeration and suppleness.

After the manual harvest, the winemaking process is gentle and respectful of the single grape variety that makes up the production of the estate's premier cru red wines: Pinot Noir.

The wine is aged on its lees for 15 to 18 months in oak barrels. All handling is done by gravity on six different levels.

A slight deposit may occur since the wines are generally neither fined nor filtered.

Serving suggestion: Serve in large glasses after decanting for at least one hour.
