The Geantet-Pansiot estate
Founded in 1954 by Édouard Geantet and developed by Vincent Geantet, the Geantet-Pansiot estate now covers nearly 13 hectares, primarily in Gevrey-Chambertin. Renowned for its dense, expressive wines, the estate showcases old vines (some over 80 years old) cultivated with respectful viticulture and deliberately limited yields.
The vintage and the appellation
The "Le Poissenot" climate is located on a hillside, east of the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, benefiting from a favorable exposure and stony soils which produce intense and structured wines. This 1er Cru expresses all the typicality of Gevrey: power, depth and elegance, with a beautiful aptitude for aging.
The 2010 vintage
A great success in Burgundy, combining concentration, maturity, and freshness. The reds exhibit a remarkable balance between aromatic richness and acidic tension, making them highly sought-after today.
Bottle condition
Perfectly preserved bottle. Excellent level and color. Worn and aged label, with no impact on the wine.
Food and wine pairings:
• Roasted rack of lamb with herbs
• Wild duck with mild spices
• Mature cheeses with character (Langres, Soumaintrain)
