Presentation of the Estate

Domaine André Ziltener is located in Chambolle-Musigny, Burgundy. Founded in the 1990s by a Swiss investor with a passion for wine, the estate cultivates several plots in the Côte de Nuits region. It produces its wines in a former outbuilding of Cîteaux Abbey, combining Burgundian tradition with Swiss rigor.

Presentation of the Cuvée and the Appellation

The "Les Fonteny" climat is a 1er cru of Gevrey-Chambertin, located in the north of the Côte de Nuits, on clay-limestone soils rich in marl. The Gevrey-Chambertin appellation covers approximately 400 ha, including nearly 90 in 1er crus. The wine is vinified from destemmed bunches and aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months. This 1998 is a racy Pinot Noir, with aromas of undergrowth, black cherry and licorice. No critical notes are available for this specific vintage.
