Domaine Armand Rousseau is located in Burgundy, in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. It was founded in 1902 by Armand Rousseau and is now run by his grandson Eric. The estate covers an area of ​​14 hectares and produces high-quality wines. The vines are cultivated traditionally, with a deep respect for nature and the soil. The estate's wines are consistently ranked among the best in the region.

Presentation of the vintage

The Gevrey-Chambertin cuvée is one of Domaine Armand Rousseau's most important vintages. It is a high-quality red wine produced from grapes grown on vines between 40 and 60 years old. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before being vinified. The wine is aged in oak barrels for approximately 18 months, with a varying proportion of new barrels depending on the vintage. The Gevrey-Chambertin cuvée is considered one of the benchmarks of the appellation.

This Gevrey-Chambertin is a rich and complex wine, with aromas of red and black fruits, undergrowth, and spices. The 2015 vintage was marked by ideal weather conditions, with a hot, sunny summer followed by a cool, dry autumn, which allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly and develop great concentration and freshness.

The 2015 Armand Rousseau Gevrey-Chambertin wine pairs perfectly with red meats, game, mature cheeses, and dishes with sauce. But given the rarity of this bottle, it might be worth enjoying it on its own.

Service Council

Serve at a temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius and let it cool a few degrees in the glass. It is recommended to open it an hour before serving or decanter it to allow the aromas to fully develop.
