The formidable Pomerol in its 2002 vintage, finally ready to be tasted today.

The quality of the Conseillante wines no longer needs to be presented. This château is undoubtedly one of the five best in the Pomerol appellation.

This wine is part of the "with them we are never disappointed" club. The style is very pure, velvety and silky, with time the aromas evolve towards truffle, violet and mocha.

Like the nearby Château La Violette, this Pomerol acquires notes of violet as it ages. It is this particularity that has inspired the colour of the capsule since 1871.

Tasting advice: 2002 was a complicated vintage in Bordeaux. The first tasting notes of this Conseillante describe it as a disconcerting wine, lacking harmony in its youth. After twenty years of aging it has refined and should be close to its peak. Open at least two hours before tasting.
