The Great Lady 1985 - Veuve Clicquot - Champagne

La Grande Dame is the exceptional cuvée of the Veuve Clicquot house. This cuvée is focused on minerality, purity and complexity. It comes from a blend of the 8 great historical terroirs of the house: Verzenay, Verzy, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Aÿ for the pinot noir and Mesnil sur Oger, Oger and Avize for the chardonnay.

Each vintage does not always contain all 8 vintages, but sometimes 5 or 6, depending on the year. The time spent in the cellar is at least 7 years before being marketed.

This prestige vintage was created in 1972 to pay tribute to Barbe-Cécile Clicquot-Ponsardin. The first vintage was 1962.

This vintage is confidential since only 350,000 bottles were produced.
