Presentation of the domain
Anne & Jean-François Ganevat (Rotalier, Jura) create high-precision natural micro-cuvées: hand-harvested, indigenous yeasts, careful aging, and very moderate sulfur. A pure, lively style, centered on the expression of fruit and textures.
Presentation of the vintage
“Le Zaune à Dédée” – Vin de France Blanc, here in magnum (1.5 L) and with a playful “Grand Cul Classé” label. Blend dominated by Gewurztraminer, supplemented by Savagnin. Skin maceration for the Gewurztraminer; aging under a veil for the Savagnin, bringing spices, tension and a saline touch. Unfined and unfiltered; very limited sulfur.
Presentation of the bet
2022 bottling: a non-vintage cuvée with an expressive aromatic profile and serious drinkability. Open now (serve at 10–12°C) or cellar for 3–5 years to gain spicy complexity and fullness.
Tasting notes
Charming nose of rose, lychee and kumquat, notes of light walnut and sweet spices. Dry, ample and taut palate, noble bitters of orange peel, long, salivating and saline finish. A white wine with character, both delicious and incisive.
Bottle condition
Magnum in perfect condition: impeccable level and color; very beautiful label and capsule. 2022 bottling. Unfiltered wine: a slight natural sediment may appear.
Food and wine pairings
Mild chicken or root vegetable curry.
Noble fish with hazelnut butter and candied citrus fruits.
Comté 18–24 months, aromatic Asian cuisine.
