Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey is a leading figure in modern Burgundy. While his Chardonnays have redefined standards of purity in Meursault and Chassagne, his red wines are produced with the same philosophy of precision. By limiting intervention and prioritizing careful aging, he delivers Pinot Noirs of great fruit clarity, often finer and tauter than the appellation average.

Nuits-Saint-Georges is often associated with full-bodied, "earthy" wines. PYCM's interpretation in this 2017 vintage is quite different: he seeks to capture the elegance and vibrancy of the terroir. It is a wine that combines the classic structure of Nuits with remarkable tannin finesse, an inseparable signature of Pierre-Yves' work.

The 2017 red vintage is a year of immediate pleasure and balance. The Pinot Noirs are bright, with beautiful acidity and crunchy red fruit aromas. It is a vintage that tastes magnificently well in its youth, while possessing the necessary balance to evolve serenely in the cellar for about fifteen years.

Bottle condition

This bottle is in perfect condition. The label is immaculate, the fill level is perfect. The yellow wax, emblem of the domain, impeccably covers the cork without any cracks, ensuring optimal protection against oxidation.

Tasting notes

The nose opens with notes of sour cherry, raspberry and a hint of peony, underlined by a discreet smoky minerality. On the palate, the wine is of great purity. The tannins are silky and the framework is straight, carried by a saline freshness. An elegant, persistent finish, on infused red fruit.
