Presentation of the House

Nicolas Feuillatte is now one of the largest Champagne producers, bringing together thousands of cooperative winegrowers since its creation in 1976. Modern and innovative, it has quickly established itself as an essential reference, while offering a range that extends from festive champagne to prestigious vintages. The Palmes d'Or is its icon, a symbol of refinement and Champagne expertise.

Presentation of the Palmes d'Or vintage

Launched in 1985, Palmes d'Or is the house's prestige cuvée, recognizable by its unique bottle design, inspired by a Tahitian black pearl. Aged for a long time in the cellar, it expresses the finesse and power of the finest Champagne vintages. The cuvée generally combines Pinot Noir (bringing structure and intensity) and Chardonnay (bringing finesse and freshness). Offered here in Magnum format, it reveals even more elegance and aging potential.

Presentation of the 1996 vintage

The 1996 vintage is recognized as one of the greatest Champagne vintages of the 20th century. The grapes enjoyed exceptional ripeness while retaining a high natural acidity, a guarantee of longevity. The 1996 champagnes are renowned for their aromatic intensity, remarkable balance, and incredible aging potential. The 1996 Palmes d'Or is a perfect example of this achievement.

Food and wine pairings

A champagne of this caliber pairs well with refined dishes:
• Roasted lobster or grilled crayfish
• Scallop Carpaccio with Citrus Fruits
• Bresse poultry with cream and morels

Serving tips

Serve this magnum at a temperature of 10 to 12°C in tulip or white wine glasses to allow for optimal aeration. Opening the bottle about ten minutes before serving is enough to reveal its complexity. The magnum format gives it extended aging potential: it can still be stored and matured in the cellar.
