Pernand-Vergelesses 1983 - Domaine Pierre Rollin-Jacob

The Pierre-Rollin Jacob estate has unfortunately ceased to exist for over 15 years. This small estate, covering less than 10 hectares at the time, produced only wines from the Côtes de Beaune appellations (Corton Charlemagne, Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Beaune). The wines from this estate are incredibly concentrated and tannic for Burgundies, hence their wonderful aging potential. As they age, they evolve toward aromas of undergrowth and spices.
