Presentation of the domain
Anne & Jean-François Ganevat (Rotalier, Jura) create natural micro-cuvées of great precision: hand-harvested, indigenous yeasts, careful aging and very moderate sulfur. A pure, lively style, centered on the expression of the fruit.
Presentation of the vintage
“Poulprix” in magnum (1.5 L): A pleasant red Vin de France, generally built on a Gamay base, supplemented depending on the bottling with Jura grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Poulsard). (Semi-)carbonic maceration, short aging in vats/tunnels, bottling not fined or filtered. Bottled on 07/20/2022.
Presentation of the bet
Released on 20/07/2022: Juicy, crisp, and immediately appealing profile. Drink now slightly chilled (12–14°C); cellar for a short time, 3–5 years, to gain a slight extra spice and complexity.
Tasting notes
A delicious nose of raspberry and cherry, violet, sweet pepper, and a hint of licorice. A supple, ultra-drinkable palate with fine tannins and a mouthwatering structure; a clean, fresh finish that calls for the next sip.
Bottle condition
Magnum in perfect condition: impeccable level and color, very beautiful label and capsule. Bottled on 07/20/2022. Unfiltered wine: a slight natural sediment may appear.
Food and wine pairings
Charcuterie & mature comté cheese.
Roasted poultry with herbs, short jus.
Bistro cuisine (pizza, mild grills), fresh service.
