Presentation of the Jean Grivot estate
The Jean Grivot estate, located in Vosne-Romanée, is one of the most prestigious in the Côte de Nuits region. Since the 1980s, the fifth generation of Étienne Grivot has been at the helm. The estate cultivates approximately 15 hectares, exclusively Pinot Noir, and practices precision viticulture, without herbicides or chemical fertilizers, with meticulous soil cultivation and controlled yields.
Presentation of the "Les Beaux Monts" climate
The "Les Beaux Monts" vineyard is located north of the village of Vosne-Romanée, between Echézeaux and Richebourg. It covers 11 hectares at an average altitude of 300 meters. The name is believed to come from a corruption of the word "Bomont," an old toponym meaning "wooded height" or "beautiful mountain." The soils are shallow, composed of brown marl and fissured limestone, giving the wines an elegant, airy, and mineral style.
