Presentation of the Deutz house
Founded in 1838 in Aÿ, the Deutz estate is one of the oldest in Champagne. It is currently managed by Fabrice Rosset. It cultivates over 42 hectares and also sources its wines from partner winegrowers, primarily Premiers and Grands Crus. Deutz is renowned for its straightforward, elegant, and distinguished style.
Presentation of the William Deutz vintage
The William Deutz cuvée is produced only in exceptional vintages. The 2002 is a blend dominated by Pinot Noir, complemented by Chardonnay and Meunier. It is aged for a long time on lees, without excessive dosage. The result is a complex, straightforward champagne with fine, persistent bubbles. Rated 96/100 by Wine Spectator, 18.5/20 by Bettane & Desseauve. A perfect bottle for fine dining or cellaring.
